We are situated on the banks of the Waitaki River, 70km inland from Oamaru southwest of Christchurch (a drive of about 3 hours) or 220km from Queenstown (a scenic drive of 2-2½ hours via Cromwell or Wanaka). The Waitaki River is renowned for its excellent trout and salmon fishing from late November through April.
