Air
Fly to Queenstown and either hire a car at the airport or use one of the local shuttle
bus/coach services to get to Wanaka. There are also connecting flights direct to Wanaka
airport.
Coach
InterCity Coachlines has a nation-wide network that includes scheduled services to Wanaka.
Other local companies operate services to and from this region.
Self Drive With our own you will have the freedom to see all Wanaka and the surronding area has to offer. Wanaka (103 km) is approximately
1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Queenstown if you follow the main State Hiway. If your are driving to/from Christchurch (486 km) allow at least 7 hours, Dunedin (283 km - 3.5 hours), Franz
Josef glacier (404 km - 5.5 hours). If you are travelling in winter road conditions should be checked before travelling to/from the Queenstown region.
